SP

Siriporn Phutachat

Bangkok · Retired Civil Servant

"I had been putting off looking at my finances seriously for years. The introductory course did not push me — it let me see things at my own pace. By week three I had a cashflow picture I had never had before, and it was less frightening than I expected."

Vichai Thammasat

Bangkok · Senior Engineer

"Kittipong's teaching on RMF contributions was the clearest I have encountered anywhere. I had read about this before, but something about the way it was explained in the context of my own retirement picture made it stick differently. I left with a specific action plan."

Nanthida Lertsiri

Bangkok · Small Business Owner

"I wish the online sessions had a slightly longer Q&A window — sometimes I had questions that did not quite fit in the time available. That said, the office hours more than made up for it. The content itself was thorough and the workbook was genuinely useful."

Prawit Kongkham

Chiang Mai · Physician

"The Wealth Stewardship program was the most substantive financial education I have undertaken. Having Thanaphon walk us through the estate planning module with reference to actual Thai law — rather than general principles — was exactly what I needed. The personal binder we completed is something I will use for years."

MC

Margaret Chen

Bangkok · Expatriate Finance Director

"I came in as someone who thought I already understood retirement planning. The mid-career course showed me several gaps in how I had been thinking about Thai provident fund distributions specifically. The coaching calls were particularly valuable — I was able to bring my actual numbers and work through them with Kittipong directly."

SW

Somkiat Wattanaporn

Bangkok · Government Officer

"The introductory program gave me a vocabulary I had been missing. I could read my pension statements before, but I did not really understand what I was reading. The group discussions were also helpful — knowing that colleagues in similar situations were working through the same questions made it feel less daunting."

Case Studies

A Few Learner Journeys, in Detail

Challenge

The Insurance Overlap

A recently retired schoolteacher in Bangkok had accumulated five separate insurance policies over twenty years — none of which she could clearly summarise or compare. She enrolled in the introductory program to understand what she actually had.

Solution

Week Three Exercise

The insurance review module in week three gave her a structured framework for laying out each policy side by side. With the teaching mentor's guidance during office hours, she identified two policies covering identical risks and one policy that had become unnecessary after her mortgage was cleared.

Outcome

Clarity and Simplification

She ended the course with a clear one-page insurance summary and a plan to consolidate coverage. She also reported that completing the cashflow map gave her, in her own words, the first honest picture of her monthly finances she had had in years.

Challenge

Retirement Timing Uncertainty

An engineer in his mid-fifties was uncertain whether he could retire at sixty or would need to continue working to sixty-five. He had a provident fund balance and some savings but no clear picture of whether they were sufficient.

Solution

Retirement Worksheet

In the mid-career course, his personalised retirement planning worksheet was built out over several weeks with the instructor. The three coaching calls allowed him to test different withdrawal scenarios and model healthcare cost estimates specifically for retirement in Thailand.

Outcome

A Clear Decision Frame

By the course end he had a model showing him exactly what income he could draw at sixty versus sixty-two versus sixty-five under different RMF contribution scenarios. He noted that the course did not make the decision for him — but it gave him the tools to make it himself, which is what he wanted.

Challenge

Undefined Estate Arrangements

A physician with significant assets across property, funds, and a family business had no will and no structured plan for how assets would transition to two adult children. He enrolled in the Wealth Stewardship program after a colleague mentioned it following her own participation.

Solution

Multidisciplinary Faculty Work

Over fifteen weeks, he worked with the estate attorney on a will structure suitable for mixed asset types under Thai law, with the tax practitioner on transfer timing considerations, and with the family communication specialist on how to introduce the plan to his children in a way that was honest but not alarming.

Outcome

Organised Estate and Family Alignment

He completed the course with a signed will, a completed personal financial organisation binder, and a family meeting scheduled for the following month. He described the program as the most useful fifteen weeks he had spent on his own affairs in a decade.
